Which technique should I use to adjust the color temperature in a room to my liking? Is it dim-to-warm or tunable white? This is a frequently asked question. The starting point is to create the best conditions for the users of the space so that it functions best.
Tunable white: peaks at the time of day.
Our life forces us more and more to spend time indoors. In our work, at school, at home, in the hospital, in shops. We can’t get what our bodies need so badly – sunlight, but instead we get artificial light. Numerous studies show that artificial light negatively affects human health, well-being and performance.
One answer here is tunable white lighting. The CCT is adjusted according to the indoor activities, from 2700K to 6500K. So during the active hours, you can set a colder white light and a warm white light for the evening or relaxing times.
Think of schools and offices to improve achievement, concentration and well-being. But also retirement homes to activate people who spend a lot of time indoors, and need to keep their sense of day and night rhythm. Tunable White is highly suitable for Human Centric Lighting Projects.
Dim-to-warm: time for yourself.
In catering establishments and homes, the atmosphere is an essential part of the experience, the moment of time for yourself. A color temperature of between 3000K and 4000K is excellent lighting to work in. However, when it’s time to relax, we prefer warmer light. With the dim-to-warm module, you can dim to a warmer color from 3000K to 1800K to create the right atmosphere. Warm candlelight is equal to 1800K -2400K. Make it nice and cozy.
Choice of fixtures.
Both techniques are attractive to use. The dim-to-warm module can be applied in all our fixtures, the tunable white in a smaller selection. Use the filter on our website to select the most suitable one.
