Visit Lighting Exhibition Guangzhou

The International Lighting Exhibition took place in Guangzhou, China from the 9th to the 12th of June. One of the biggest lighting trade fairs in the world, where new technologies, products and innovations are presented. Of course, Light4U was also there.

Eye for quality

This year’s major trend is towards beautifully designed light fixtures, which are also becoming more compact. Of course, this goes hand-in-hand with the increasing efficiency of LED modules, as has been the case for many years. It is noticeable that Chinese suppliers are increasingly paying more attention to quality. Where previously a large part of what was on offer could be placed in the ‘average’ category, there is now a clear divide between high-end and really bad. There is a noticeable separation of the wheat from the chaff.

Attention to partners

During our trips to China, which we make twice a year, we always spend a lot of time with our suppliers. We visit them at the trade fair, but also at their production sites. That way, we can try to improve our personal connection (which is always crucial and especially important in China!) and keep an eye on quality and innovation.

New solutions

In addition, we are also looking for new potential partners, both during the Lighting Exhibition and also outside this trade fair. That is the beauty of our profession: it is constantly evolving, and we are always looking for unique solutions, which we translate to innovative lighting solutions for you. Some examples? We visited a factory which manufactures hi-bay light fixtures, for sports centres and parking garages, etc.

Using the knowledge and relationships we have forged in China, we will get to work. What you can expect in the long term? Lighting solutions worthy of Light4U which will keep you sparkling. We will keep you informed!
